For tonight I want you to comment on any aspect of human nature that we
see so far in Ender's Game. Take the big picture of life and relate it
to the novel.
Peter seems to be taking advantage of Ender's innocence, which is something all humans tend to do. This act of evil can be seen when Peter forces Ender to play a game of bugger and astronaut: Peter physically hurts Ender by kicking him around and mentally hurts Ender by making him wear the bugger mask to represent the buggers in actual war who were claimed to never win over the astronauts. Also, Peter persistently told Ender that he could easily kill him by stamping his foot over Ender's stomach. The threat imposed fear on Ender, a tactic that humans would ensue over their opponents. The cause for Peter's aggression would most likely have emerged from Peter's anger and jealousy for Ender, since Peter had his monitor taken away from him sooner than Ender. When humans develop anger and hate, they tend to act aggressively towards others.
